Okay. So I had this idea of how to make the PatF a better story. And this is what I got.
The beginning is pretty much the same though the design for Tiana is with the wild hair and Naveen doesn’t get turned into a frog. His valet dude or whatever however DOES do that spell thing to become him and ties Naveen up.
This doesn’t make much sense to me, why would Tiana help Naveen escape?
Sure, Tiana is a great friend to Charlotte and I understand she would want to help out her friend with having her dream prince. But hiding him in the forest to the point where they need to find food? Why do they need to understand the animals, it sounds like Louis is supposed to be dangerous since he’s on that path and is their only animal encounter? Where do the paths lead, are they trying to flee forever?

No, no its no problem! I’d be the first to say there is some flaws in this because I just thought this off the top of my head while in the shower and then wrote out what I remembered.
as for why would she help him? Because its a Disney movie. XD I mean why does Aladdin decide to help Jasmine in the market? Why does Tiana decide to kiss the creepy talking frog? Because. XD
As for fleeing into the bayou, they got lost in the bayou and trying to get back home. And Louis isn’t dangerous he just got them confused and they took the wrong path. And Ray is still here. I just wrote out the parts that I wanted to change. Which was them being frogs for 80% of the movie.
I’m not gonna lie. I practically cheered when Rita said this. You know why? Because I am so, so happy that a mainstream, popular show is acknowledging the current climate of fear of Islam. Look at how Rita has conditioned herself to react with humour, because she genuinely thinks that people who find out that she’s Muslim will judge her negatively. This is the world we live in today. I’m not Muslim, but half my family are, and for years, I have been judged as being a terrorist just because I associate with Muslims. I have had to deal with people making judgements about my family. Insinuating that they are terrorists. Insinuating that I am a terrorist. Sometimes, not even insinuating. Islamophobia has become so widespread and, dare I say it, “accepted” that I don’t even see it subtly implied any more. So yeah, I was stupidly happy when this happened.
Not to mention that Rita is a fucking fantastic character. She is intelligent, brave, beautiful (inside and out), good, kind, compassionate…I could go on. To me, she is genuinely one of the best television characters I have seen in a long time.
Fun fact: I’m not religious and I doubt I ever will be. That doesn’t mean I don’t care. I know that most religions preach kindness and compassion. So I’m not going to tolerate people generalising that one group is the opposite of that.

Glimmer/Cato for you-bow-to-no-one Glimmer picking Cato up? idk. In the books I’ve always got a Cato/Clove feel but in the movie it was obviously Glimmer/Cato.
