Whenever someone draws me anything I try my hardest to write a really appreciative comment, but truthfully I never feel like it’s enough. I always worry that I am coming off ungrateful! My other fear is that I might come off insincere.
It is actually really impossible for me to convey in words how sweet it is when someone draws me something. I know, for many people, it seems like it’s such a throwaway thing because it’s ‘just a picture’. But I think about the fact that someone had to sit down and spend their time on something solely for me. Time is something you never get back! Not to mention effort haha. Also, art is pretty personalised, especially if it’s something of your own, like a character.
I really love getting art for this reason & I always hope that people know that I appreciate it - even if it’s a gift, trade or commission, I really love it all the same and I appreciate all the time and effort that went into it!
This! All of this! I’m sorry keysmashing and saying I LOVE YOU is the best way I can convey my thanks!! <3333

With tumblr I have realized that yes, it is possible to miss people you’ve never really met before.

We’re all a little weird, and when we find those people whose weirdness is compatible, we join up with them and fall into a mutually satisfying weirdness, and call them our best friends.
