#At first I wondered why they added Winry as it was apparently a ‘what did the Truth take from you’ thing #but then I realized it showed how Winry stands still and doesn’t fall despite everything she/they has/have been through #And she really deserves this spot - actually she deserves all the love okay ? #Because she’s Winry and she’s more fantastic than you can ever dream to be
TRUTH
Also the Truth did take Ed and Al away from her…and sort of the last scrap of innocence she was holding onto? She had to rebuild Ed and be there for him and I think that was the “I’m no longer a kid anymore. My parents who took care of me are gone and my best friends lives have been completely ruined and now I’m the one they are depending on to take care of them”. Everyone’s disappearing around her and all she can do is do her best to keep standing up and rebuild what she’s lost, even if it’s invisible.
Like ugh I never noticed this before now but Ed is in front of the childhood home that he lost, that he can’t let go of in his memory, Al is disappearing on the road leading out of town because he’s gotten lost somewhere and they have to leave to find him, and Winry’s in front of her place, the place where she had to watch her parents leave, the place where she had to leave behind her innocence to help Ed get back on his feet, the place where she had to watch Ed and Al leave her, the place where she is determined to have them come home to.
ohhhh my god the tearssss.
